Rams defy the odds and return to the playoffs
Los Angeles came into this season with high expectations. With that roster, the Rams are capable of winning a championship. The Rams started their season by suffering critical injuries from Puka Nacua in week 1 at the Detroit Lions and Cooper Kupp in week 2 at the Arizona Cardinals. That led to a 1-4 Rams desperate for answers to turn their season around. According to history, making the playoffs after a 1-4 start is about 12%. The Rams had to find answers to turn their season around. Fortunately for the Rams, they had a bye week and an extra week to give fans hope.
The Rams started their first game back with a gut-wrenching win at home against the Raiders. From then on, the Rams are 9-2 in their last 11 games. Not only did that put them in the playoffs, but they also won the division, and Los Angeles will be hosting a playoff game this season. Although the Rams are on this incredible run, there are still questions about this team. This team can struggle offensively at times. They have slowly started some games and have fast started some games. But these slow starts could hurt them in the playoffs. Teams like the Lions, Buccaneers, and Vikings have talented offenses. They can get up and down the field quickly and control the clock well. All 3 of these teams rank top 10 in the NFL, with the Buccaneers at one and the Lions at 2.
The Rams are also a team that no one wants to face. This team is capable of beating anybody in this league. They have shown that by beating the Minnesota Vikings by 10 in week 8 and the Buffalo Bills in a week 14 shootout. Both teams are Super Bowl contenders with 13+ wins this season. The Rams are still to get healthier at the right time of the season. The potential this team has to make a Super Bowl run this season is extremely high. If the Rams can play their brand of football and get off to fast starts in these 4 potential games, they will be able to defy all odds and make history.
