Alex Bregman and the red sox agree to terms
Breaking News: This just in Alex Bregman and the Boston Red Sox have agreed to a deal. The deal is for three years and one-hundred and twenty million. The deal will also include two opt-outs during the time he is there in Boston.
After a long offseason saga, Bregman has now found a home after his long tenure with the Houston Astros. Alex Bregman was mentioned to land to many teams throughout the offseason, some of the latest teams being the Cubs and Phillies. After the Phillies were looking to trade Alec Bohm, Bregman became favored to be signed by the Phillies to become the star third basemen in Philadelphia. But a trade never came to be for Bohm, so that ship had sailed. But more recently, the Chicago Cubs started to get involved for a possible deal with Bregman, but they were never able to find common ground on what the deal would look like for Bregman. Hence why the Red Sox swooped in out of nowhere and made a great signing, $40 million dollars a year.
The Boston Red Sox have made some big additions this year with trading for Garret Crochet and now signing Alex Bregman to a monster AAV contract.
